Just a longer video to watch for sleeping :-) Jacob's ladder using zero voltage switch (ZVS) and television line transformer (40 kV) Changed MosFET's IRFP064 to much stronger ones, IRFP4668. Driving with 42 Volts and about 10 Amps :-)

Geeeeeill!!
That wobbly table is NOT helping! Great stuff!
sure. But nevertheless it works
Very Nice. I particularly like the ability to adapt to different pendulum masses. Does the angle PID loop auto-tune on the fly, or does is cope well with some conservative PID params for a range of rotational intertias? Also how did you the "swing up" start. Special procedure I presume? It seems to hit the left end / max-travel...
that is not the final , this was just a test before. Please have a look at the other pendelum video in my channel, thanks. ua-cam.com/video/fD5j9Y-GoFk/v-deo.html
can you make a tutorial please?this would help maybe😊

Why is there a bias for the ball to roll right?

That is awesome!! Thank you for sharing!
Yes, thanks so a lot for this. I have to thank you ! There is another video coming in a few weeks when it is installed to the car finally :-) Thanks so really much :-)
So it turned out, I had to lube the cartridge drive a bit, but not too much. This seems to work no, with no failures, I am able to play-back these old magnetic tape cartridges. Also I got an 8-track recorder from here in Germany. So I recorded my own cartridges/cassettes. The radio receiver seems not to work. But this is no trouble, as I do not listen to German radio broadcast anyway, even not if I am on the road with that great Cadillac Fleetwood 1980 :-) I hope I can pass out a video, stay tuned :-) Markus
Hello again ! Today I installed the radio into the car, and works good so far. Except it does not fit perfect, but I will optimize thatthe next few weeks. But it is really very great now :-) Again, thank you :-) ua-cam.com/video/ppo5WKB-LVY/v-deo.html
How did you make it Please share tutorial
I did make it by my own. Without any prepared libraries. I cannot share any tutorials :-) Too much else to do.
@@strange67x how did you gather the input of position of the ball
I won't tell you :-)
@@strange67x oh my !
Do you have anything written up about your method of control? Sample VB code? How did you deal with the 30Hz update rate?
I did not use any ready made sample code. Such sample codes don't exist. So I created everything by my own. I don't understand update rate ? Never dealt with that. Why do you ask ?
hello, can you share me your code please?

Hello, why this epic is not anymore in playstore, do u know something is about that??
I am studying STM32 PID control for research. Can you share the code with me too please? Thank you. 40425246@gm.nfu.edu.tw

What 'code' do you mean ?
@Maggus Hirsch can you help me ? I need PID library .Can you share PID Library ? sabahattinerdogan74@gmail.com thank you
I never use libraries ....
Very nice. The sensor looks like a Baumer OADM 20 - possibly the vibration-proof version. If the movie Goldfinger taught me anything, it is that Germans make great lasers. ;-)
You are probably right, it is a Baumer type. But I had to filter it a bit software-based.
Of course. A PID loop, by definition, is a software-based filter.
哈哈 很好玩的创意
Very interesting. 👍 Subscribing now! 👍
Very satisfying! 👍
Thx :-)
I like it. Would it be possible to balance a wheel on a wheel on a wheel using cascade control and a second proximity sensor?
Thank you :-) No, this won't work. It is similiar to a socalled triple inverted pendulum, in these cases a simple PID construction won't do the job. Instead you would need some sort of software based model controllers, or maybe LQR sort of stuff.
can you give me a code please? ;mail:>> abdullahaksoy26@gmail.com
Which code do you mean ?
Hi, I am building a similar system. Can you tell me how you control the BLDC? I have a 3 phase bldc with 3 hall sensors too.
it's a simple PWM scheme in block mode, just do a search on this, and you'll find many sources
Can you tell me what model laser sensor you used? Is it feeding your microcontroller with an analog, digital or communication signal? Thank you.
It is a simple analog signal coming from the distance laser sensor.
@@strange67x I have a wheel built and I'm having an issue with noise from the laser distance sensor. Would you mind if I emailed you some questions? Thank you.
@@LV2XPLR no trouble, just ask. But I guess you should use a small filter to get the signal smoother.
@@strange67x I tried a 1st order and Kalman filter. I can smooth the distance out with either of those filters. But with 10mm of noise from the laser, the amount of filtering required to stop the derivative from reacting to the noise may hurt the response to a real offset of the ball from center. I borrowed another brand of laser sensor and hope to try it soon. I might contact you if I'm still having issues after hopefully getting a cleaner distance reading. Thank you for your help. Would you rather communicate here or via email?
@@LV2XPLR urrr .... In general, from the far point of view, it is very difficult to tell which method would work best in your individual system. First of all, you should check the ADC channel if all your measurements are fine in raw values, and if your sample rate is high enough. Same with your rotation speed. If all of that is fine, then start with optimizing.
Well done

Amazing...
Great work. I like the ball on wheel systems that fully spin the wheel instead of partial revolution with small adjustments. The ball is really stable. How long did it take you to tune?
Tuning of the PID parameters took around 10 minutes, this is only possible if you know what the P, I and D controllers do. Everything else would be just try and error.
Can u send application..how you connected gui to stm32
I won't send any applications, I only can give hints and tips :-) Data are sent by simplest RS232 interface.
Did you write the PID code?
Sure I did. I haven't used any ready-made libraries in any way. Why do you ask ?
Maggus Hirsch it's impressive. Very impressive.
Thanky you :-) @@crazytom
